Located in the Tiergarten district of Berlin, Lützowplatz has had an international character for many years and is also a popular destination when planning a city tour of Berlin. Lützowplatz is located directly on the Landwehr Canal, which runs south of Lützowufer. The area of today's Lützowplatz was originally on the territory of the then still district-free city of Charlottenburg until the middle of the 19th century. Today, several works of art adorn the extensive park. The Hercules and the erymanthic boar are among them, as is the sculpture Tangential Touch and the stair sculpture by Volkmar Haase.
