The Neptune Fountain in Berlin is one of the most beautiful fountains in the capital and has experienced a long and eventful history. The Neptune Fountain was once erected in 1891 directly at the Berlin City Palace. At the time, it was a gift from the city of Berlin to the reigning Emperor Friedrich Wilhelm II. Thieves severely damaged the fountain shortly after the end of the Second World War. It was then initially dismantled and only rebuilt in 1969 at a different location between St. Mary's Church and the Red City Hall.

At the Neptunbrunnen stop, stops 13 and 8 (same stop) overlap.
Here you can start the Best of Berlin Tour in the direction of the east (stop 9), for example to the East Side Gallery, or in the direction of the west (stop 14), for example to the Brandenburg Gate. If you don't have much time, you can shorten the tour here. Simply change buses in the direction you want to go.
