Zoologischer Garten

The Berlin Zoological Garden covers an area of 33 hectares and is located in the Tiergarten district of Berlin. It is the oldest zoo in Germany and is home to over 20,000 animals and well over 1000 animal species, including some species that are threatened with extinction. In the immediate vicinity there is a large aquarium in which fish, reptiles, insects and amphibians can be seen. The zoological garden is also the namesake of the Berlin train station zoological garden and can be reached via this.
